Account Management

Overview

Kao gives you full control over your account and data. Export everything, delete your account, and manage your privacy preferences.

Account Settings

Access your account settings from the dashboard sidebar or user menu.

Data Export

Download all your data stored in Kao:

1. Go to your account settings
2. Click Export Data
3. Kao generates a file containing:
   • Your profile information
   • Bot registrations
   • Collections and emotes
   • Rotation and sync configurations
   • Activity history
   • Payment records

Account Deletion

Permanently delete your account and all associated data:

1. Go to your account settings
2. Click Delete Account
3. Confirm the deletion

What Happens When You Delete

• Your account is scheduled for deletion
• A deletion certificate is generated as proof of the request
• All personal data is removed: profile, bots, collections, rotations, syncs, backups
• Bot tokens are securely destroyed
• The deletion is irreversible

Deletion Certificate

After requesting deletion, you receive a signed deletion certificate that proves:

• When the deletion was requested
• When it was processed
• What data was removed

This certificate is available from your account settings while the deletion is pending.

Policy Acceptance

Kao tracks your acceptance of legal policies:

• Terms of Service
• Privacy Policy
• Refund Policy
• Cookie Policy

When policies are updated, you'll be asked to review and accept the new versions.

Privacy

What Kao Collects

• Discord profile information (username, avatar) via OAuth
• Bot tokens (encrypted at rest)
• Emote and server management data
• Basic analytics for service improvement

What Kao Doesn't Do

• Kao never reads your Discord messages
• Bot tokens are encrypted and never exposed
• Your data is never sold to third parties

Cookie Preferences

Manage your cookie preferences:

1. Click the cookie settings in the footer
2. Choose which cookie categories to allow
3. Save your preferences

Language Settings

Kao is available in 12 languages:

• English, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, Chinese
• French, German, Italian, Russian, Turkish, Arabic

Your language is detected automatically based on your location, but you can change it:

1. Click the language switcher
2. Select your preferred language
3. The interface updates immediately
